Please identify these deckel fp1 parts

Hi All,
I recently bought a Deckel FP1 here in Norway and bought the manuals in English from tony at lathes.co.uk. However I`m puzzled by the differences in the photographs in the manuals and the accessories on my machine. could you please help clear this up for me.
The first pair of photos show my dividing head, on the manual photo this head is mounted directly to the x axis but mine has two articulating brackets attached to it to give the possibility of rotation of the head.
The second pair of photos show a table which has a system for rotating it but I can`t find the other part that it swivels on. Does anyone know what this is for?
There is a rotary table without a dividing capability just to be used manually together with the scale around the base.
There are more puzzling things that I will attach to my next post.
Alan

Transporting A Maho

So I just snagged a mh500w and will need to pick it up in a couple weeks. Since I havnt dealt with one of these machines before I was just wondering if there was anything that needed special attention when transporting one of these machines. Im sure they are quite top heavy, and I have lots of good heavy cargo straps to tie it down, and plenty of stretch wrap to keep the dirt and moisture out during transport. I just dont want to get the thing home and find it damaged because I didnt lock something out, or stow it a certain way.

Maho MH700 Lubrication Recommendations

After having my Maho MH700 in storage for a year since I bought it, I have finally moved it to a location that I can power it up and use it.

My Maho MH700 is a manual machine with the "square" head. I am guessing that it was manufactured in 1970, going by the serial number (70358)???

As my machine did not come with a manual I am not sure what oils I should be using in the main gear box as well as the "one shot" lubrication system. I am getting some Shell Tonna 68 for my DSG 1307 so I was planning to use that in the "one shot" lubrication system.

Does anyone know what the original recommended lubricants were?

Cheers

Piers

Just a heads up about the FP1 dial type on eBay

Looks pretty nice and is desirable dial type with no. 40 spindles....BUT....they shot a video for me months ago and it sounds horrible.

I think it was Ross that said it sounded like a cement mixer. I could probably find the video on Youtube if they haven't deleted it.

I will be the proud owner of George Cobb's FP5NC on Friday the 24th! I understand that it takes CAT/ISO40 toolholders and it comes with a bunch of pull studs. Anyone know if the Deckel pullstuds are metric thread?

Deckel GK21 missing parts

I just took delivery of a gk21 and I don't know anything about these machines. It came with a bunch of collets but as far as I can tell only 3 of them fit the spindle.

I'm going to post some photos of what I have and I'm hoping someone can tell me what I'm missing and where i can get it, I've looked through the links in this forum and have struck out so far.

First up - Missing nut on spindle for tightening up the collet, I also believe I'm missing some wrench for holding the spindle.

Next - Stylus is the only name I can think to call this (I have an operators manual coming). It came with a small holder (2nd photo) and a bunch of collets that I don't think really belong with this machine but if all else fails I'll find a way to adapt it.

Spindle - It came with another spindle (low speed?) that does have a nut but none of the collets i have fit that spindle.

So that's where i am right now, if you have parts for sale or can point me to someone who does I would appreciate your help. I could probably deal with the collets I have if i had a nut for the spindle but it would also be nice to have a couple more (could use a 1/8" or collets that fit the other spindle)

Thanks

Hi,
I have recently acquired one of the above and although it's in pretty good condition there are a few points I'd like to address.

In addition I'm interested to know if anyone has ever seen the high speed head turn up.

Any clues as to where I may begin a search would be great.

Thanks

FP3 Anyone??

Leitz jig borer

I have a Leitz Jig Borer I purchased in a sale from a college lab. The machine came with almost no tooling.

The machine came with no manual.

I will try to post a few pictures. I am looking for advice on tooling. The only thing it came with was a small Jacobs chuck.

What type collets would it use? Someone has suggested F8?
The spindle nose is 15mm.

What is the fixture for above the drill chuck in the photos? The chuck is attached to an adapter. Maybe for a boring head? Which I do not have.

Any advice would be helpful.I am cross posting here because there is a lot of information about small precision machine here.

Deckel model 6017 Rotary Table 380 mm / Rundtisch

Dear Deckel enthusiasts,

Yesterday I was offered this Deckel model 6017 rotary table (380mm diameter) at a price that was too low to refuse. The top is in good shape, the corner of one slot is chipped, but nothing that matters is wrong.

The price was good because the seller pointed out that there were some missing parts. Could someone help me identify what is needed? It seems that the handle for the 24-point indexer is gone, there is also a rounded stub which might be a broken off handle, I'm not sure.

[Edit: yes, the rounded stub is just a broken off handle for fixing the "moving angular scale" into place.]

Cheers,
Bruce
