Hello
So I have bought and paid an FP2NC from a nice guy who has used it for 12 years to build the most intricate small steam engines. Today, we made the prepping for transport, hauling the machine out from the small workspace in which it has stood, out to the adjacent garage.
It was really scary at one moment. The machine has stood on a EUR-pallet for 10+ years, and when appling a lift with the pallet jack, the floor started to desintegrate under the jack... After some clever manouvering with the jack and using plywood to stabilize everything, we finally made it out to safer ground - the concrete floor in the next room.

Anyhow, I have tried to follow procedure when prepping the machine for transport, but there is one thing nagging me: In the operator's manual, there is a pic of an FPXNC with two round bars put through the column:

It is quite evident that this will prevent the machine from tipping forward/backward. However, in the manual it also says that the FP2NC need only one such bar (or heavy pipe).
This makes me concerned, and my question is: has anyone done this? Rigged such an FP2NC with only one bar/pipe and tried to lift it? Did the machine need more slings? If so, where did you put them? Any pics?
The machine will be picked up by truck equipped with a heavy 7 ton crane, BTW.
All feedback appreciated!
Cheers
