Greetings from Scotland
New to the forum. I am looking to buy a mill for my home workshop. Considering a Deckel, Thiel, or Alexander pre 1960. Dose any one know what sort of bearing are used in the vertical heads on these older machines? i.e. ball bearing race or tapered race or other?
Second question what tapers are used for tooling? I have read mention of MT4, Int40, or Deckle. I have seen new Deckel collets on ebay but dont know if they are suitable for the older machines.
