Hi Deckel fans!
I've added lifting eyes to the various heads for my Deckel mill, which has made it a lot easier to shift them on and off the mill. Now I'd like to add a lifting eye to the spiral milling attachment, shown here on its stand:

My testing indicates that the balance point is near the red X. So one way to add a lifting point would be to drill and tap the casting at that point, so that a threaded lifting eye could be inserted when needed. Another approach would be to make a steel block with a lifting eye, that can be clamped onto the dovetail. Has anyone here already done this, or have you found another good way to rig this for lifting?
