Deckel FP3A Lubrication (again!)

Good day all.

I have a quick question to all the Deckel experts. And again it is about lubrication. I'm really pedantic when it comes to the lubrication and maintenance of my machines, because I know that 1. wear destroys them, and 2. they are expensive to repair!

So I was going through the maintenance manual, which is in German (maybe that adds to my confusion). While changing my coolant, I noticed a drain plug on the column housing the Z-axis screw. When revering to the manual, it showed it to be some draining hole. I quickly opened it, and yes, oil came out. Where the confusion comes in, is that the manual states that the central lubrication system supplies the Z-axis nut and the ways. But then there is also a point marked "5" on the lubrication schedule. I refer spesifically to point E5, which they say is a cover that can be removed and filled with oil. Point 5 also refers to the Z-axis screw.

Am I misunderstanding the instructions, or what is the function of oiling number E5? And the drain?

The machine is a 1980 FP3A.

Any inputs will be appreciated!

Louis.
