FP4A rotary table retrofit

the vertical slide is removed from the FP4A

the Hofmann rotary footprint vertical dimension is around 20 mm
less than the full vertical height of the Deckel slide
and the method to secure table to slide will be drilled penetrations thru
table base --top plates used for load distribution both top and bottom
fasteners are 1/2 in 13 tpi socket heads

top bolts thread into tapped sockets which I drill 38 mm deep
maximum grey iron table thickness is 40 mm

bottom fastening is problematic---the slide has a skirt which extends
40 mm below body of casting--this skirt has a tapered profile from
basal thickness of 22 mm to 14 mm at free edge----so it is necessary
to mill a uniform thickness pocket for use of tapped backing compression plate -
the 1/2 fasteners pass thru the slide into this compression plate--which is 28 mm thick

an additional non-load bearing plate is fixed to the compression plate---the trim plate
this plate has tapped passages of 1/2-20 tpi for brass tipped set screws to allow adjustment
of table to plumb
