I have a Deckel KF12 pantograph. The high-speed spindle was very noisy when I got the machine so I took the spindle apart, replaced the ball bearings, packed it with the recommended grease and reassembled it. The noise is only slightly less and still worthy of wearing ear protection. I'm only running at 2400 rpm and it's rated up to 10K. Anyone have any suggestions, or are these spindles inherently noisy?
