Deckel FP2 LB Usable Arbor Length?

I finally got around to playing with the FP2 LB I got a while back in horizontal mode. It came with a number of tool holders including two arbors which appear to be integral to their ISO 40 mounts with arbor lengths of 21 and 27 inches from the face of the bases to the bearing ends. Problem is that according to my manual and the internal stop, the head/ram is only permitted to extend 250mm/10". The arbors appear to be of the same vintage and degree of wear as the rest of the holders but the other tooling is all marked "Lovejoy Tooling", whereas the maker of the arbors is not apparent. Did the seller just throw those long arbors in to perplex me or by accident, or is there something I just don't get? If these won't work on my machine, is there a market and a rough value for them?
