Based on the posts of several esteemed users here and having modified and installed an enclosure on my FP4NC, I'm looking at running "flood" cutting oil. I'm running the full chip pan with 3 sides. Most of my work is of the "prototype and repair" nature, not production, and I do not wish to deal with the issues involved with water based coolants--mixing, evaporation, rust, bacteria, skimming etc.
Would appreciate any comments regarding the approximate PSI the Deckel coolant system puts out and if the coolant pump is powerfull enough to run a relatively high viscosity cutting oil like Mobilmet 766 (Viscosity is 36 cST@40C).
Am also considering TRIM OM100 19.9 cSt@40c viscosity) which I believe is what alfaGTA runs, am open to any insights you might have to share regarding finish, smoking, staining, etc.
