I was banging my head against the wall yesterday trying to get corner chamfering to work on pockets created with G73. The chamfering tool I was using was ¼" in dia. and did a nice job, but there was no way to get it to follow the radius of the ⅜" cutter used to make the pocket (without a lot of programming of straight lines and quarter circles). Today it hit me (after my morning coffee), I just needed to use a larger diameter chamfering tool (e.g. ½"), but set the compensation radius to be 3/16" and use G41. Chamfering tools are flexible, you can adjust the radius smaller to follow the contour and adjust the height to match. Learned something new today. I know its pretty basic, but when you're 150 miles away from the nearest dialog programmer, everything comes the hard way.:D:D
