Hello,
The FP4MA I run at work is making a jerky motion when interpolating large radii even at low feed rate, I also see it pop up when rapiding in the X+ and y- directions. I removed the bellows and inspected the ball screws and ways. Everything looks in order so I'm leaning towards it being a feedback issue between the scales and Tachs. I cleaned the servo brushes and tachs but the problem is still there. I would like to try the post by Don about tunning servos.

The only problem I'm having is finding the switches S1.2 and S1.6. My machine doesn't have the plexiglass cover over the nrp boards that labels things and looking on the individual cards I don't see any switches labeled as such. Would the control being a contour 2 and not a dialog series explain my troubles. Any tips or photos on which switches I need to look for would be very helpful.
Thank you -Adam
