On a Dialog4 control, even with the later software versions (2.33) and 512k RAM, the processing speed and look ahead are pretty slow, especially by modern standards. Many programs I run, the look ahead is only 8-10 blocks. This can cause dwell marks during machining and even make it take longer to proof programs in graphic mode.
I have seen some Deckel specialists in Germany who offer significant upgrades in memory (1MB-2MB)--does this translate into faster processing speed or just more storage?
