Abene free in the Boston area

A school in the Boston area is getting rid of a bunch of machines, including an Abene VHF-3 vertical/horizontal mill, with quill feed. I think it's some kind of 40 taper, but that's a guess. I don't think it's currently under power, and I didn't look at it very close, but I was told that it works, and the rest of the tools were generally in pretty good shape. It's not gem quality - I didn't see any obvious scraping visible on the ways. I'm not sure if there's any tooling with it. That's pretty much all I know.

It's about the size, weight, and footprint of a Bridgeport, with 12 speed power X and Y, rapid traverse, and tilting head. A very nice machine, as long as it's in decent shape.

If it doesn't go away soon then they'll probably pay someone to scrap it. Ideally it would go this Wednesday, 22 June 2016. They need to make room for new machines to move in, so there's not much room to negotiate with dates.

This machine will have to be moved 100-200 feet to get out of the building, which can be done with a pallet jack. It might not fit through a door to get to the loading dock, so it may have to be picked up from the ground, which a car carrier could do. I'll help if I'm around and have time, but my only interest in this is in keeping it from getting scrapped.

PM me with your email address or phone number if you want it, have some idea what it is and what's involved in moving it, and can get it this week. I can send a higher resolution picture too. I'll probably be there Wednesday evening, so it should be possible to check it out for condition and call a flatbed if it passes muster.
