In this case an LS406 scale, but I suspect any of the 11uApp scales that use a slender reader head where the reader head end of the cable plugs into 8 pins would do. I need to know the function (or at least the wire color) of each of those 8 pins at the reader head.
It is maddening, as it's easy to find pinouts of old style 9 and 12 pin round connectors to the DRO itself.... but can find absolutely no wire or function info at the scale reader head end of the cable.
Below is the sort of reader head connection I'm talking about.... 9 pin round for the DRO and 8 pin green rectangle for the reader head. I need to know what an LS406 scale expects to see at those 8 pins on the reader head..... and am amazed I can't find such simple info on the web. Wonder if that info came with the original manual these scales came with when new ?

If wondering why I don't just figure it out based on matching the 9 pin descriptions of what each pin does, via continuity tests to the 8 pin connector female inputs... I don't have a cable like that to test yet. I do have a 15 pin D sub to 8 pin connector and could probably figure it out with that one if I have to.
