Need PLC EPROMs for old Maho 700P with TNC-135

Hi everyone

A while ago I bought an old Maho 700P with TNC-135 controller. It had a broken Indramat 3TRM2 servo controller, a few now rather expensive TCA-280A chips were broken. I replaced these chips with 3 boards that I designed myself from inexpensive parts to recreate the functionality of these TCA-280 chips, because I'm too poor to pay like $15 for each old NOS TCA-280 chip.

It was running fine for a few weeks until the Siemens S5-010w PLC inside the electrical cabinet failed. At first I got several "grober Positionierungsfehler" errors every half an hour or so until the mill finally refused to start altogether. (Couldn't turn on the relay voltage and PLC had several error LEDs on). The next morning, everything was back at normal.

I found this rather weird, started to disassemble the PLC and looked for broken/burned components. But found nothing. Since I had experience with bad EPROM chips before, the mill is rather old (~1980 vintage) and the intermittent failure mode is quite typical for unreliable memory, I removed the EPROM plugin from the PLC box and read the EPROMs with my EPROM programmer. Unfortunately I get slightly different binaries each time I read one of these EPROMs, which means the data inside the EPROM is most likely corrupted.

I tried to reconstruct the data inside that EPROM as good as I could but something is still wrong because some relays are clicking every few seconds for no good reason as soon as I start the milling machine. Since that PLC controls nearly everything on the mill (spindle, axis movement, gear shifting...), other program failures could possibly have catastrophic consequences, which I rather would like to avoid (gear shifing in full speed, axis crashing into end positions...). Thereby I will not do any more tests with badly reconstructed data.

Now I hope that I can find someone who has a Maho 700P with Heidenhein TNC-135 controller and that is willing to read the EPROMs of his PLC and give me the binaries, so I can burn replacement EPROMs for my Maho.

It's quite simple, you just need an old, working Maho 700P and some kind of EPROM programmer. Tl866 or Willem programmer both work fine. Remove the orange EPROM plugin on the PLC, remove the EPROMs from socket and read both of them (mine were TMS2516) as a 2716 EPROM (TMS2516 is pin compatible to 2716).
