Hi,
I have a Maho MH400e. When I run my main spindle at the maximum speed over longer periods of time the main spindle gets quite warm.
I've been measuring the temperature with a contact-less laser thermometer. After searching for a while I found the hottest temperature to be 62 degrees Celsius (=144 Fahrenheit) at a spot closest to the spindle bearing/axis. This measured temperature was after 30 minutes running at full speed (4000 rpm).
Is this elevated temperature something I should worry about, or is it still in the "normal" range?
Regards,
Mike
