Hi!
Last Friday, the copper worm seems to have bitten my Indramat 3TRM2 servo amp. :( It is in a MAHO 700 C.
Symptoms:
X and Y (vertical mill nomenclature) do work.
Z works when going downwards, and works if jogging upwards really slow. Going too fast, I get a joint follow error. Sometimes, even the fuse (3ph, 32 A) blows. So looks like it is "a bit" powerless. Absolutely useless, as it is way to slow to do some work.
Checked the brake and it works, table sags when I do open the electric brake (switch in the cabinet).
I'll swap two axis (and the modules) to verify that it is the servo amp. But I do fear it is kaput, as I did have some weird grid problem when the axis failed.
I'm above average (whatever that means) in respect to electronics, but I don't have the slightest experience with power electronics.
Thyristor toasted? Anyone made a successful repair and would tell me what it was?
Hydraulics do work again, a relay driver was toasted.
TIA,
Nick
