Arboga EM825 Mill, 415V rewire to 220V questions.

So I've fell into (IE paid to much for) a Arboga EM825 Heavy mill with the 415V single voltage, 2 speed Dahlander wired motor. The good thing is that the previous owner installed an 115v 1ph, 1/2hp external motor that works fine (a little underpowered) so the mill is usable w/o the internal motor. I also know that I could just spend the $500 and buy the 220-415 VFD from direct drives. I'd rather just share the VFD on my lathe for the current time.

The good thing is I was able to get the stator out of the case this evening. The strange thing is that all of the wires from the stator to the machine were cut. From the look of the wires and some modern crimp connectors on the machine side, it doesn't look like I'm the first person to monkey around with this thing.

I've been reading this thread(http://www.practicalmachinist.com/vb...-drill-215795/) and trying to figure out how to rewire this thing for 220V. Being a y-y connection there is only 6 leads coming off the motor. I know there should be some central star point, but it can be internal or external and I don't know what I'm looking at. Where each of the 6 leads goes into the motor, it is joined by 2 wires. That makes for 12 wires that I can get to. There are 24 segments in the stator.

So the big question is if these 12 wires are all I need to re-wire this thing in a delta, assuming I figure out the proper combination. If not, I'd guess a rewind will be in order.
I'll get some pictures up in a day or two.
