I am trying to fix a Deckel FP4A D11 that has been out of commission the last approx. 8 years (no, not with me).
The machine now boots up, has the last SW version, but will not allow the amplifier to run.
Well take a look at the picture.
It shows the wiring box of the y-axis servo. You can see the harness for the tachometer and the harness for the motor.
You can easily recognise the harness numbers.
What is wrong?: well the tachometer harness is actually for the z-axis!!!
This mix-up was then corrected in the control cabinet by swapping the y and z connectors on the Bosch drive.
The cabinet wiring was produced correctly (I think), so it would have passed a separate test. When connected to this specific machine it then had to fail and they had to swap the y ansd z connectors to make it run.
It ran like this for years. I do not think this was done by a user.
It certainly had me stumped for a while, but this not the error I was looking for and that last stopped the machine.
While I love a (solvable) puzzle, this is nasty. I am still on it.
