Good evening!
Here's my Deckel 2021 SK40-taper high-speed head on its way up the mill. I have a basic question: how do you lock the spindle for tightening and loosening the drawbar?
(The "old fashioned" high-speed head, which used 16mm collets, had a pair of 5mm holes on opposite sides of the spindle nose, 37mm center-to-center. A pin-wrench fit into these could be used to lock the spindle against rotation, for tightening the drawbar. But I don't see any way to lock the 40-taper version. In principle one could use the drive-lug slogs but many tool holders fill or block these.)
