MT4 to U2 Collet adapter sleeve?

I have a Maho MH 600 (similar size to the FP1) and would like to set my dividing head up to accept the long U2 collets. The dividing head is a works original that was likely supplied with the machine 52 years ago. I suspect the dividing head is similar to the equivalent Deckel offering. It looks like I'd need the MT4-U2 adapter sleeve and drawtube.

I see Karl's (CharlyDE) excellent sketch of the drawtube - which is mostly applicable (adjusted for length?) for my application. Can anyone share a sketch, pictures or even a source for the adapter sleeve? Is this usually set up with a nut on the nose to aid in removal of the sleeve?

Why would I go with collets? The dividing head is so long (especially with the chuck mounted), even when I hang it off the end of the table, I'm close to the end of travel and have only a couple inches of working room! By going to collets, I can gain about 2” of working room. To date, my work around is to set the dividing head up on my Toolmaster (48" of table and 28" of travel) - ought to be a way to keep this on the Maho. I have the Maho angle adapter plate for the dividing head - it is even worse (I'm sure it is fine when the head is pivoted to vertical, but swung horizontal there is no working room left!?!?). Makes me think I've got something wrong with my set up (though the index marks for the angular scale line up properly)?

Regards, David
