Hello, some of you might remember me from a while back working on a Heidenhain retrofit of a FP4, I did get the machine finished + added some extras but I did give up on the hours and hours of work required to write up in full detail for a web page that generated little talking point, sorry about that.however I have my circuits.. but I've also lost contact with Martin P for some time. ?
Anyway the point of this thread... I've given up waiting for a deckel rotary tilting table, so machined this table to fit the deckel..(SIP jig borer table). I've also fitted a direct measurement angel encoder to it. This works with my positip 880. It's worked out very well and I am please with the outcome. I hope you find it interesting.
I am missing one tooling item from the attachment set. The MT2 center with a 12mm parallel section hence the ridiculous setup to show the DTI assy on the location bar.
It should add a greater degree of flexibility to the machine..
